The Victorian Parliament is a Parliament with two Houses (a bicameral system of Parliament). The two Houses are the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council.

I was first elected to the Legislative Council in 1999. Since then I have participated in major democratic reforms to the Parliament which have restructured the way Councillors are elected and have made the Council more representative of the wider community through proportional representation.

I am also the Deputy Leader of the Legislative Council. In this role I assist with the administration of Government business within the chamber.
