In Australia, everyone has the democratic right and obligation to participate in elections to decide how we are governed. It is compulsory for every Australian citizen aged 18 years of age or over to enrol to vote with the Electoral Commission. It is also possible for 17 year olds to enrol to vote as provisional electors so that they are automatically added to the electoral roll when they turn 18.
To enrol to vote, fill out an enrolment form and post it to to the Electoral Commission, or pick up a form from my office at 4 Hamilton Place, Mt Waverley.
